Dr. Lauren Smith, DVM

Dr. Smith began pursuing a career in veterinary medicine in high school and worked at several veterinary hospitals as well as on a dairy farm before attending vet school. After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, she worked for two animal hospitals as a full-time general practitioner before starting her own business as a relief veterinarian, where she travels from hospital to hospital providing veterinary care to patients when their regular veterinarian cannot be there. She also has experience working in emergency animal hospitals, providing urgent care on nights and weekends. 

Dr. Smith is the creator of The Vetitude, a website and social media brand dedicated to promoting empathy, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence to veterinary professionals so that they can be happier, more productive team members and animal care advocates.
