Dr. Amy Fox

Dr. Amy Fox is a veterinarian and medical writer with more than 15 years of experience in the veterinary medical field.  A lifelong animal lover, Dr. Fox studied Biology in college and then worked as a veterinary nurse before pursuing veterinary school at Cornell University.  

After graduation, Dr. Fox was accepted into a competitive rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at the ASPCA Animal Hospital in New York City.  This role provided a tremendous breadth of experience in emergency medicine, general medicine, surgery, dentistry, animal welfare, shelter medicine, and animal cruelty and forensic work.  From there, she was hired at the ASPCA as a staff veterinarian; she worked in that position for six years.

Education

Dr. Fox received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She completed a rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at the ASPCA Animal Hospital in New York City.
