After testing 22 bestselling pet gates, we named the Cumbor Auto-Close Pet Gate our favorite pressure-mounted gate, and now it’s on sale for more than half off.

A $200 gate going for as little as $90 assuages the main concern our tester had with the Cumbor gate: cost. Otherwise, the sturdy, pressure-mounted gate can't be beat.

The gate's best feature is its auto-close door. It opens from either side, allowing you—and only you—to pass through before it swings shut and locks automatically. That means you can place it at the top of your staircase with little fuss.

Measuring 30.5 inches tall means it can contain even large dog breeds. (If you need a taller gate, a 36-inch model is available.) The steel gate, which comes in black, brown, gray, or white, also expands from 29.5 inches wide to 46 inches, so you can mount it in plenty of doorways.

Our tester reported that the Cumbor gate is easy to install, just as long as you pay close attention to the instructions.
